Ever wanted to create epic game content which gets delivered to hundreds of thousands of people every day? Working alongside some of the most creative and dedicated developers in the world, you'll be working on pushing the limits of Minecraft to deliver high quality, fun to play, experiences and games for everyone to enjoy.

Requirements

  • Never stop being creative! We want you to take creative ownership of what you bring to the table!
  • Very strong knowledge of Java.
  • Very strong knowledge of Paper and/or similar server software.
  • Strong understanding of lower-level Minecraft internals and mechanics.
  • Previous Minecraft server game development experience.
  • Maths and vector skills.

Desired traits

  • Level 6 or above on CubeCraft (so you know what we already do).
  • Experience with Minecraft internals and/or protocol (Java and Bedrock).
  • Previous experience working within a team.
  • Previous experience at semi-large Minecraft server.
  • Creative experience with both Minecraft Java and Minecraft Bedrock.
  • Experience with mob AI and adding custom pathfinding to entities.

You should know/be able to:

  • How to write clean and performant Java code that scales in large server environments.
  • How do design game experiences that are both engaging and balanced.
  • How to work with async tasks and multithreading within Minecraft.
  • How to send raw packets to a player.

Depending on various factors (such as level, experience and location) which will be discussed during the recruitment process the compensation is expected to be, on average, around £13-£25 an hour for this role.
